Where did that info come from though? Was it actually announced or just randomly added? An Eagle was clearly shown in the video, but it wasn't necessarily a pet.. and I don't remember a polar bear.

Nope. The Snow Wolf comes directly from our current GW .dat file. Found by using a tool which is used to browse the GW .dat file.

Same goes for the panda. I believe if I were to make a Hyena mod it would go on top of these two as well.

It still looks the same apart from the colour, don't see as much point in getting a snow wolf if you have a normal one. I believe lynx and stalker have different texture but same structure

The videos i saw cleary show: Pet - Hearty Mountain Eagle.
One of the previews also mentions dodgeing polar bears while running through the shiverpeaks and getting a challenge from a Norn to hunt 25 of them down (though its not stated if they are pets or not,it sounds alot like the Pre Searing challenge to hunt a bear down and get a hunters ale)

That is actually a really good idea! Maybe the stall could be near HoM? I would love to alternate between my old bear and my new Black Moa Bird...poor Honey Jar didn't stand a chance
Oh, and since we are talking about pets here...has anyone mentioned the idea of pet armor? I would love to add more protection to my pet simply by armor so I don't have to keep up the pet spells. Also, then I could determine much easier which pet is mine when other party members have the same pet as me. Even something as simple as what the Black Moa is sporting...a collar.
Pet armor is just an idea...not a demand.

Really? Pet armor seemed to work great in Oblivion...

Well... someone had to put the collars in the Black Moas.
They can't hatch with that or grow that from thin air.

Fair enough. The version of that video I saw was too low quality to make out those names. And I remember hearing that the Norn have the ability to turn into different animals such as the Eagle. I just didn't want to jump to any conclusions, no matter how much it looked like a pet.

Snow Wolf, Polar Bear, Mountain Eagle. There is a definite snow peak theme. I would not be surprised if there was a snow leopard skin for the Melandru Stalker model.
